Vivian Bejarin ('06)

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Vivian's journey led her to become a South Bay resident after her family moved to San Jose. Raised by her grandmother while her mom worked in the Electronics industry, Vivian's educational path began at Overfelt High School. Starting college at SJSU and then transitioning to De Anza College to explore her interests, she discovered a passion for Filipino American Studies which ignited her love for Asian American Studies and Journalism.

With a Bachelor's in Journalism and a Master's in Communication Studies, Vivian has dedicated 15 years to teaching as an English Composition Instructor at De Anza College. Her commitment to education, community involvement, and love for reading and writing make her a valuable addition to our 2024 board.
