History
Founded in 2021, The Filipino Alumni Network (FAN) fosters community, cultural identity, and professional development for San José State University Alumni through networking events, mentorship, and professional opportunities.
Our goal is to provide a space of belonging for the SJSU Filipinx American community and further their academic excellence and professional careers.
Our official logo combines the colors of the flag of the Philippines and is shaped like a fan as a play on the acronym "FAN" which stands for Filipino Alumni Network.
FAN Launch Event
To celebrate the launch of FAN in its first year of creation, we hosted our FAN Launch Event on February 12, 2022! Thank you to those who were able to attend! There was delicious food that we had catered by On a Roll and Urban Ritual in San Pedro Square Market, as well as free goodies that were given out in thanks to the SJSU Alumni Association.
