Noemi Teppang ('08)

Scholarship Director

Born and raised in San Jose, Noemi has dedicated herself to people-centered service. She's been a community organizer since 2005, working closely with various grassroots Filipino organizations in the South Bay to fight for the rights and welfare of Filipino families. Noemi holds a B.A. in Social Sciences with a minor in Asian American Studies and completed her M.A. in Social Work with a concentration in mental health. She's also the co-founder of Anakbayan San Jose, an organization focusing on youth and student leadership development, and continues to volunteer with Malaya South Bay, which focuses on human rights in the Philippines.

Currently, she is a faculty/counselor at De Anza Community College. We're thrilled to have her on board and can't wait to see the amazing impact she'll make!
